KNIT THE SOCK FROM TOP TO TOE
just like an ordinary normally knitted sock, but without the heel.
When the ankle is ready and it would be time for the heel, move the stitches on two adjoining needles onto a length of yarn to wait. In their place cast the same amount of stitches on the two needles and 30% more for the decrease part of the ankle.
Continue knitting and decrease the extra stitches at the ankle by for example stitching two together every second row.
The toe is ready when your little toe is hidden.
HEEL

Move the stitches that were waiting on the string onto two needles. Now you have four needles again.
