This is a small heart motif. Take fine cotton or wool yarn and use the motif as an embellishment
anywhere. Crochet it in rags with a big hook and you’ll have a nice hot pad.
The samplers are crocheted in worsted cotton with 5 mm hook. Their size is about 11*11 cm.
Instructions
Choose your favorite method of starting in the round.
Rnd 1 (red): In the loop or chain ring ch 3 (= 1st dc), 11 dc, close with sl st. [12 dc]
Rnd 2 (black): Ch 3 (= 1st dc), 1 dc in 3rd ch of rnd 1, 2 dc in every dc, close with sl st. [24 dc]
Rnd 3 (red): Ch 4, 1 tr in next dc, 1 dc in next dc, 1 hdc in next dc, 2 sc in next dc, 1 sc in next dc,
1 hdc and 1 dc in next dc, 1 dc and 1 tr in next dc, 2 tr in next dc, 3 tr in next dc,
1 dc and 1 hdc in next dc, 1 sc in next dc, sl st in next dc;
crochet to the beginning of this round in the opposite order, the last tr in last dc or in sl st, close
with sl st in 4th ch.
Rnd 4 (black): Ch 4, 1 tr in the same st, 1 dc in next tr, 1 hdc in next dc, 1 sc in each next 6 sts,
1 hdc in next dc, (2 dc in next st) 6 times,
1 dc in next dc, 1 dc and 1 hdc in next hdc, 1 sc in next sc, slip 2 sl st;
crochet to the beginning of this round in the opposite order, close with sl st in 4th ch.
